The goal of this project was to capture real life testimonials through true human emotion. Being as
that Californians see life different, this authentic form of testimonial was right up their alley.
Hired actors were employed as drivers. The passengers are their actual, unsuspecting friends who,
in many ways, are at the driver’s mercy as they take part in what they think is a real test drive. The ultimate goal was to shock, surprise and ultimately impress them with our lineup.
After each prank, we conducted follow-up interviews with the unsuspecting passengers to give them
the opportunity to talk more about their new-found surprise in our cars and trucks. These interviews, along with the test drive pranks, were to become part of an FCA/California-specific series of webisodes.
The prank videos themselves were to be provided to the participants for full usage and sharing within their respective social media spaces.
